Tom Selleck’s Dream Of A Magnum P.I. Movie May Come To Fruition
The most interesting thing I could find related to this story was an IMDB board discussing who would/should play Magnum. You have to sign up to see it.
Here are my predictions:
- The role of Higgins will go to William Daniels. He is perfect for the part.
- William will try to get them to give the starring role to his old castmate Ben Savage.
- Hollywood producers do not really listen that carefully to self important coots who have been on TV since 1941; they will cast Dan Savage as Thomas Sullivan Magnum, IV.
- Hilarity will ensue.
On an opinionated note, Tom Selleck has been a much better person in the face of rumors and jokes about his sexual orientation than some other actors. I think it is entirely possible that he is not gay.

Tell that to Rick Schroeder.

Rick Schroeder, this is something I don’t know about. Anyway, Tom Selleck was/is a leading man type who can certainly ACT straight or GAY. He seemed like more of a neuter on ‘Friends’ I think he must have felt embarassed about selling out.
