So Katie Holmes is delivering at home, with lots of hospital equipment bought just for the occasion.  I haven’t read anything saying that the ‘deliver at home’ thing is a way of avoiding bad press. The people attending are scientologists, so we can’t hope for any leaks unless one of them is a future ex-scientologist.

I think the mainstream press has quite a balancing act going on. They are presenting enough facts to intrigue us with Tom’s ‘eccentricity’ and mania while avoiding confronting the litigious Cruise with anything too critical. I think an outsider’s take on the the psychological state of these parents-to-be during what tends to be a pretty unguarded moment is something Tom’s people want to avoid. A few hundred thousand dollars in hospital equipment is nothing.
