American Idol to Visit the White House

I’m trying to figure out why an unpopular President would want to have the World’s most popular lounge singer come and hang out with him.

You would almost think that, what with the World going on a jaunty hand-basket ride, the ‘leader of the free World’ would be a bit too busy for pointless photo-opportunities.
