Bounty Hunter is Arrested
No, this is not a case of a reality show ‘jumping the shark’. The charges stem from Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman’s capture of an American rapist in Mexico way back in 2003.
My take on the story is that Duane refused the orders of the Mexican authorities to release Max Factor heir Andrew Luster into their custody for two reasons. First, he was not confident that justice would be served. Second, he wouldn’t get any money. Fans of the television show DOG the Bounty Hunter will give more weight to the first reason.
If Duane had legitimate concerns that the legal system in Mexico was rife with corruption, it may actually work in his favor at this point in time. The source story has 10 pages of comments so far.
