I’m not even going to bother trying to decide for myself if it’s true or not.  The story about these two famous people admitting to being not gay despite their frequent appearance in proximity to each other got me thinking about guy friendships in general. 

 I don’t have the same type of close friendships that I had in my teens and early adulthood.  I discussed this fact with my best friend, who is a woman that I sleep with every night.  We decided that the loss of these types of friendships is really all about time.  These two guys met each other when, just by coincidence, they had the same kind of time that we all have when we are kids.  It’s not their fault that getting your picture taken together with your shirts off when you are over 35 seems gay to other people.
