If I had a button maker I would make a few buttons with this kind of phrase and end it with something that I know nothing about. Then if anybody actually did ask me about it I could just mumble the fact that I didn’t know anything about it. Does that sound childish?
I’m using a bit of hyperbole with my title, but I am cautioned on a fairly regular basis not to create any publicly visible expressions of my bizarre sense of humor.
The internet is a different story. It is as anonymous as you choose to make it for yourself (if you are very careful). I guess if I had a Button Maker I could make a huge collection of Kiss Me I’m (insert heritage here) buttons. And then there are the wonderful slogans that make a ridiculous connection between a vocation and the sexual prowess of the people with that vocation.
I think buttons are considered quaint and understated these days now that people wear t shirts with slogans on them. I worked at a very liberal-minded place where one of my co-workers had bought a Don’t Mess with Texas shirt at the thrift store and then had a patch sewn over the word Don’t. We didn’t have any Texans at work, so nobody messed with him.
I have a large collection of t shirts that don’t say anything at all. Maybe buttons are the answer for those days when I actually do want my clothes to say something. Maybe a yellow happy face on my black shirt. Maybe a Georgia O’Keefe cow skull button on my tan colored shirt. A Pink Floyd button on my plaid cowboy shirt. The possibilities for irony are endless. I think it would even be cool to make buttons that had no message or symbol on them at all. Instead of a Vote or Die button I could have a vote button and a die button and I would have to decide which one to wear every day.
I know this is wrong, but I am going to give Lily Allen the attention that she was trying to get by using over the top language to deride Paris Hilton and also anyone daft enough to buy Paris’ CD. Lily, you have a pretty voice and an intrguing personality. I can, however, see through you to the root of your beef with Paris. You are feeding at the same trough as Paris with your Pop music that relies on you as a personality as part of it’s saleability (I guess eveybody does that to some extent). Yes, you are a better artist and performer than Paris, but maybe you should model yourself after some of the singers who don’t feel the need to point that out.
A few years ago we realized that we could potentially build up enough web-based income that we would not have to base our physical location on where we could get a good job at a bricks and mortar busisness. I think there are lots of people coming to the same conclusion. There are also lots of really big companies that are realizing that one option when planning new facilities is to build in a city with a great standard of living and then entice the workforce to move there. Forbes recently listed the best five cities to start a business or a career. They were Boise, Raleigh-Durham, Austin, Washington and Albuquerque.
Boise homes for sale. The real estate market is a huge consideration if you are making a decision about where to start your career. you have to keep in mind that if you are moving to one of these hot spots for new business, any real estate purchase is quite likely to appreciate. Here’s a list of some of the companies operating in these towns:
Boise has Micron Technology and Hewlett-Packard
Raleigh-Durham has IBM and GlaxoSmithkline
Austin has IBM and Dell
Washington has Verizon and SafeWay
Albuquerque has Intel
The place on this list that made my wife start making imaginary plans was Albuquerque. I think I might like Boise more. The name Boise comes from the French word for forested. I like forests.
Earlier this year, there was a lot of disappointment for fans of shows like The Daily Show and the Colbert Report when the network’s lawyers sent a letter to YouTube requesting that they be more vigilent in removing these programs when they are illegally uploaded to the site. I have recently observed a surge of uploading of entire Comedy Central shows. I’m not going to include links, since the shows will probably be removed within a few hours. I was busy watching the uncensored version of the William Shatner Roast today. It was absolutely hilarious and also very R Rated, don’t let your kids watch it. I am not sure if the surge in available copyrighted material on YouTube is the result of more frequent uploading by people on holidays, or less frequent removal because of staffing issues with YouTube or if both things are factiring into this. I don’t have any television in my house, so I am enjoying the chance to get a peek at this stuff. I do check in on the advertiser supported streaming clips on the Comedy Central website quite often, but even Jon Stewart himself has joked about the buffering….buffering… that goes on there.

Britney’s official website is devoid of free content, but sells membership packages for $24.98. I wish I could see some sales statistics. The official site has a nice graphic proudly exclaiming that Britney is refocused.
I would appear that we are experiencing an extreme lull in the celebrity pregnancy department. I guess there is Julia Roberts. Meh.
Adoption is where it’s at these days and all the young starlets are avoiding pregnancy while their publicists decide whether a third world adoption is the right move for them. You know what would really make headlines? What about if some third world parents adopted Dakota Fanning? That would stir some controversy.

I’ve read an in depth review on Salon that I found fascinating. I think the personals are the first thing many people turn to when they pick up a paper. For some people it is the funny pages and for others it is the sports. Personals ads have elements similar to either of those other choices. Human eccentricity is the funniest thing in the world and sex is the most popular sport in the world.
