There are a few celebrities that are very savy about the internet, people ranging from Andre 3000 to Andy Dick. There are quite a few celebrities that are obsessed about what everybody is saying about them like Britney and Lindsay and the like. There is some overlap between these groups of people, Adam Duritz is the reigning king of this overlap. If you put an Adam Duritz technorati tag on your blog post, he will probably read it.

For those of you who don’t know, he is the lead singer for the Counting Crows. He used to like to date famous young actresses when he was younger and more famous. He may still enjoy that particular social outlet. He has is an incredible songwriting talent and he has a personal life that is not happy. He may be the driving force behind me hiding my candle under a bushel. If creating something like August and Everything After doesn’t somehow mean you get to be happy for the rest of your life why bother?

Actually, lack of confidence has more to do with my lack of a musical career, coupled with a possible deficiency in the talent department. And the breakthrough album, with Mr. Jones etc….during the long December in 1995 when it was climbing the album charts (I think), my wife and I were about 300 miles apart just before Christmas and we each bought a copy of the album for one another. Sullivan Street is one of my favorite songs to sing.
