Is Being Gimmick Free the New Gimmick?

Before I get started on my tangent, I should say that this post is ostensibly about a house manufacturer. The tangent is about the UP SELL. We get numbed to it with all the little things like batteries not included and five cents for ketchup with your chips.

I am pretty irritable when I am spending money, so there are a few things that really bothered me. I was shopping for a car. I wanted the cheapest new car possible on a short term lease because I knew I was moving after a couple of years. There was a bit of a price war between two or three dealers. They all claimed to have the lowest priced new cars. I went to the place with the best cars first. EVERYTHING was an option that cost extra. Power steering was extra. Even having color matched bumpers was extra. And of course, they didn’t have any cars without color matched bumpers.

re.JPGThis kind of selling really bothers some people. So much so that some businesses recognize a niche for a more straight forward approach. With something a expensive and important as a home, wouldn’t it be nice to start looking with the assurance that the asking price includes everything. Residenthomebuilders.com.au sell homes that already have quality kitchens and spacious bathrooms. These builders have a business that involves creating finished homes that satisfy customers and include all the extras that many builders use to up sell new home owners. Add affordability to the honesty and you have a winning combination.
