I’m Never Going Back To My Old School
Canadians are different than Americans. I was reminded of this when I decided to check out the top 100 lists on Alexa as divided by country. As of this day, the Canada list has Facebook at #4 and MySpace at #8. In America, MySpace is #3 and Facebook is #7.
I am interested in hearing from people about what they think this means. It could just be a matter of market size. I live in a tiny European country and Hi5 is #1 for some reason.
So, anyway, I was convinced to get a Facebook profile and I found out that lots of people that I grew up with back in Canada are on it. Here is the inspiration for the title. Social networking sites are a great place to go if you want to feel old. I did find a random selection of age cohorts from the place where I was born. I added 2-3 of them, people that I like and respect. To be honest though, I don’t have much in common with them. I guess people often lose touch for a reason.
