RAM
It has been awhile since I have purchased RAM. Pushing RAM into the appropriate slot in my PC for the first time was one of the most nerve wracking experiences of my life. There was a time when I would reliably get my father in law’s second hand computers. He is the ultimate early adopter.
It wasn’t an uncommon occurrence back at the turn of the century for someone in my family to buy the latest PC game and find out that we didn’t have enough RAM to run the thing. I am sure that still happens to people today. You can get cheap ram from OEM. It may be cheap, but it comes with a guarantee of compatibility. Punch the words Original Equipment Manufacturer into Wikipedia to find out why it is possible to get components that are high quality without brand name prices.

Yes there’s been many a computer in the past that we’ve upgraded with new memory in the past! We actually upgraded my desktops ram a few months ago to make it faster for the PPP puzzle contests. LOL
