There were fireworks exploding directly over our house this evening.

They were quite impressive.

Actually the petards were going off intermittently all day in celebration of Christ The King, starting at 8am. Interestingly, I found these to be less disruptive than some that were launched from farther away earlier this summer. When I can hear the charge that launches them, I am less surprised by the main explosion.
