We are so lucky to have a working computer with free internet in our room. I just noticed that there are a whack of searches from past occupants in the Google drop down. I found a few interesting search queries like how to clean recent screen names in msn messenger and ginzu jet sex, which , it turns out, is a band name and song title. I had to look to make sure.
No more guessing games. This would have been my final clue. I don’t think they sell these anywhere else. I am not buying a pair.

We noticed that many people leave their bicycles unlocked here. I think it is a situation much like a large school of fish. There are so many bikes that the odds of yours being stolen are miniscule as long as yours is in the same place as the rest of them and doesn’t stand out.
I think I saw a few bikes that were relatively good and new that had purposely ugly paint jobs to conceal their value. There are a lot of very old, very cheap bikes on the streets. We were out very early this morning and saw a line of scooters where a couple of them had tipped over. If Hollywood laws of physics worked in the real world, the whole row of 20-30 bikes would have fallen down. I’m not in Hollywood.
Rotating torso displays are awesome. I have to wonder if anybody noticed me patiently waiting for the butts to come around the second time. The display was turning rather slowly.
I am in a city that attracts tourists. This morning I noticed a situation where a guy had asked his girlfriend to take a picture of him standing in front of some important building. She was looking through the viewfinder and he was making frantic gestures meant to tell her that pedestrians were about to walk in front of him. I thought it would be cool to make a video montage of several people doing this in several different historic sites. It would be like the Where the Hell is Matt thing except not.
Actually, I think they are kinda lame. I just thought that title would get more attention in the various places that it will show up. I had a quick browse through some of the questions that are being put to the candidates and I found it mostly kinda sad. There are a few pretty good ones.
The fact of the matter is that there are so many submitters with so many questions that CNN will be able to script the debate in any way that they choose. I hope they get to some of the questions about gay rights. There are a lot of youtubers asking questions about gay rights. I think is partly due to the fact that the GOP have shown themselves to be hypocrites time after time with regard to this issue. It is also due to the fact that the debate is moderated by the sexiest man in America, Anderson Cooper
I didn’t ask Jarheadboi if he was homosexual. If I did, I would hope that he wouldn’t tell me. I don’t have to ask whether he likes the gay-themed video game Manhunt 2. He is very worked up about it.
He has an undeveloped plan to petition against the ESRB, which he calls a pussy organization. Pussy is not the most derogatory word in his lexicon, it’s just the name for the thing he dislikes the most, don’t ask me why.
One detail that seems to have eluded Jarheadboi is the fact that the ESRB is a self regulatory body. This means it is not an outside body trying to cramp the game manufacturer’s style. They are the game makers, and they are in the business of covering asses.
Expect to see a little less from me over the next week. I am going on a trip and we will only have one laptop between us. Add to that the fact that the point of a vacation is to relax and get away from the things that you do everyday. Add to that the fact that I don’t think we will be staying anywhere with free internet access. Maybe I should keep my destination a secret and just post a few pictures while I am there.
Artichoke season is finally here. We had a couple of very overpriced flower buds a week ago, boiled with butter. This is a picture that I took a few weeks ago of some that were missed last year. Not very appetizing but kinda pretty.
I don’t know how easy it would be to grow these from seed, but I know where to get plenty of seeds.
Talking about Christmas and debt got me song tagged with this old standard. I did a quick search and had one of those small world moments when the top ranking video for this old Merle Haggard song was a cover by a Nova Scotian. Merle Haggard is known for writing great arrangements and riffs, this video is going to be instructional for me. Thanks for sharing your talent on YouTube, Mr. Allan Spinney.
The book in this man’s hand is a book that was written by a man who is not given much credit by the MSM in the USA. Greg Palast wrote Armed Madhouse. I watched a 27 minute video of Greg Palast speaking about voter fraud. I agree with him that the solution to that problem is the massive mobilization of voters. I hope the voters of the USA end up with Presidential candidates that inspire a high voter turnout.
