Total Dismay

Killing Babies for Fun and Profit

Posted in Television, YouTube by totaldis on the November 13th, 2007

dead-baby.JPGNo real babies were killed in the making of this epic Family Guy show.

FOX has reached an end game with this level of violence. Family Guy has been canceled by FOX twice in the past.

It infuriates me that society in the United States is so permissive with regard to violence on TV and yet they are astoundingly prudish about sex. The dead baby on FOX will not result in any litigation and yet CBS was ordered to pay a record $550,000 fine for showing Janet Jackson’s breast. Family Guy is just a cartoon, but Janet Jackson’s breast isn’t real either.

The saddest thing is that violence is permitted because the kids are buying it. Luckily, some video game companies are making big changes. Rock Star has a new gay themed video game called Manhunt2, lots of gay sex and very little violence. It’s going to be a hot item this Christmas.

  5. You said your infuriated with how “society in the United States is so permissive with regard to violence on TV…” but you mention how Family Guy got canceled 2 time in the past. I don’t think canceling a show is being permissive. Please do some research…

  6. Jonathan: It was canceled because old guys in suits didn’t like it. The society demanded to have it back.

Sam: Putting the word out about the hot love that is Manhunt2 is not what I would call kidding, I am practically evangelical about it.

Me: my a retard? Actually, I did a lot of research…so much research that it almost made me gay ( not that there’s anything wrong with it ). I found out that the Dev team for ManHunt2 originally wanted to call it ‘Ad Hominem Attack’ but then research revealed that they had been mistaken about the meaning of that term.

bk: So, you know that I can see your email address, right?

    Mahesh: Yes. it’s awesome :)
