I like Dick Cheney. I mean, he is not pretentious. He is no more or less evil than he lets on. The crazy speculation about a naked lady reflected in his shades in an official photograph is amusing. It is the closest that he has ever been to seeming sexy. Maybe his sexiness is the real reason for his steadfast refusal to run for President. He knows that his nation is not yet ready for a sexy President.

By the way, it is just the reflection of the VP’s hand gripping his pole.

This is just a quick post to let readers know that I will be posting lots of neat stories and pictures from my vacation in Italy as soon as I have time to move the pictures and also get caught up on my work. I really enjoyed the week that I spent in Tuscany. I would have liked to spend more time out in the countryside and less time in museums, but there were a lot of works of art that we had on our list of must sees. I did not take a picture of the original David by Michaelangelo. I was amused by watching scores of people blatantly disregarding the sign forbidding photography. The photo on Wikipedia is better than anything that I could produce.

If anyone is reading this and they have seen the original and also the Vegas replica, I would love to here a comparison of the two experiences.

A band that I knew personally was playing at a very funky venue. At the end of their performance, I asked the drummer if he had been creeped out at all about playing with a big blue penis right behind him. He hadn’t noticed the art until I pointed it out. I had a good laugh at his expense.

I recommend that parents watch a few childbirth videos on YouTube with their kids. I am quite certain that I did not watch a human birth before I got to witness it first hand when my daughters were born. That was pretty intense.

There is an hour long, very detailed video of a c-section that was originally broadcast live over the Internet. The doctors were answering email questions during the operation. There was an extra doctor acting as the host.

I am only presenting a Bif Naked video because of my naked week theme. I actually find her a bit grating. The last straw for me was listening to her natter on about her little dogs with Bill Richardson on CBC Radio. He has little dogs, too.

The only current event involving nakedness AKA nudity is an attempted robbery. A man in Pennsylvania was known to police before this particular incident. He likes to stand in plain view at his apartment window in his birthday suit.

One day this week he walked into a store an expressed his intention to commit robbery. The clerk refused to give him any money and dialed 911. He left.

The up side of trying to commit robbery naked is that if you escape and get dressed, than your most conspicuous feature, your nakedness, is no longer in view. This tactic is NOT effective if you are known in the community as the naked guy.

The big downside is that you cannot imply that you have a concealed weapon. I believe that most jurisdictions charge you with armed robbery if you claim to have a weapon or the victim has good reason to believe you have one. Being armed or claiming to be armed has a much higher price. This guy used one hand to cover his genitals.

Naked and American television don’t get along too well. The naked is secondary to the issue of eating meat in this case. A PETA ad that promotes vegetarianism with the use of Alicia Silverstone’s naked body has so far only been banned in Houston, Texas. The cow town claims it’s because of the naked. I say bull.

This Canadian politician wasn’t caught with his pants down…He volunteered to pose for a calender that was being sold to raise funds for cancer research. I have met this man in an airport. He smiled and shook my hand and we talked about my employer and the politician’s familiarity with and approval of that employer. He was wearing a nice suit and an overcoat on that occasion. He is an engaging and charismatic person. I believe he is the first elected official in Canada to enter into a same sex marriage.

There are casually naked cyclists in the left hand video with dangly bits in plain view. The audio is mostly just street noise and people shouting Whoo Hooo!!!. I suggest you lower the volume. The right video has a classic Queen song. I suggest you turn it up loud

International gossip sites are combining two things that Britney Spears is reported to have done in front of her young children. We are supposed to be shocked and appalled by both things.

First, her former bodyguard is saying that Britney Spears used recreational drugs in the presence of her children. I agree that this is wrong and shameful. Some child psychologists suggest that you refrain from even talking about past use of drugs and alcohol with your kids. I debated this with my wife once. On one side, it seems like a lie of omission to not talk about your past experiences. The argument is that, even if you frame your past mistakes as a cautionary tale, they still serves as a bad example to some kids.

The other issue was that Britney had a habit of walking around naked in front of her kids. To quote Britney’s former colleague Christina Aguilera…”WHAT?”

I take issue with anyone who takes issue with being naked in your home in front of immediate family members who don’t object. I don’t see any great social value to prudishness. You do not need to use shame in order to be sure that your children will stay in line with societal norms in regard to wearing clothes.
