Minding The Net

The first link that I sent to my brother when I found out that he had finally gone online last December was a link to these NHL Forums. When we were kids, he had stacks of Hockey News in his room, and boxes of Hockey Cards.
Being a little brother of a hockey nut meant that I got to suit up to play goalie in the back yard after school whether I wanted to or not. My brother has been a lifelong Habs fan. I used to root for the Calgary Flames just to be spiteful, and hey, they did win a cup or two eventually.
When I was thinking about stuff that would interest my brother on the internet, stuff that he could enjoy even though he is still on dialup, I thought of message boards and forums right away. I went to big-boards.com, a boards directory and there it was, a huge well established hockey forum. It’s the number 102 ranked board, that’s out of ALL the boards. Over 29,000 members making MILLIONS of posts.
What I liked about the board at first glance is there are subforums for each team in the league. I think this provides for areas that will be relatively devoid of senseless arguing. If you like the senseless arguing, I am sure there is plenty of that too.
