Self Portrait Sunday: I Must Be Crazy…
I don’t want to over explain the reason for the existence of this image. Subconsciously, I might have been frustrated by the fact that we saw a poster for a Blues Night that was taking place in a nearby town and deciding not to go. It was a good decision considering the number of crazy drivers on the road last evening.
Less crazy people have less altered images for Self Portrait Sunday. Go check em out.
Self Portrait Sunday: Chief Insecurity Officer
I did some fakery for this Self Portrait Sunday.
The reflection in the unaltered French door panes featured my camera hand and a distorted view of the back of my head. I was planning to try some convincing photo manipulation, but then I got bored.
Our washing machine broke this week. This picture was taken on the day that I ran out of casual clothes and I had some business appointments. This is the shirt that I wore for my beach wedding. I am also wearing the same bare feet.
Self Portrait Sunday: Burnt
The vacant lot two doors down from our place has been on fire repeatedly over the past week or two. One of the many calls to the fire department was made over our mobile phone by a neighbor. It was quite educational for me to hear how our location is described to emergency services. I didn’t know until then that the vacant house on the corner is well known to everyone and is nicknamed after a previous owner. I feel more secure both in knowing about this landmark and in being able to pronounce it.
Despite being somewhat burnt myself, I still managed to drag myself outside to participate in Self Portrait Sundays.
Self Portrait Sunday: Goodbye Blue Sky
I was getting a bit tired of having a bright blue sky in all of my self portraits. Here is one with no blue sky.
I have heard it through the grapevine that there may be one or two new participants in Self Portrait Sundays. Welcome to the fun ![]()
Self Portrait Sunday: Cats
I just took a quick self portrait while I was heading down the hill to take a photo for my Green Thumb Sunday post. It’s too bright outside for me to review pictures on the display screen. My expression looks so pained that I considered heading out for a retake, but life is too short.
My daughters started feeding a feral cat this spring because it was very pregnant and very skinny. They now have a half dozen regulars. You can see a couple of them behind me.

Self Portrait Sunday: Shaving
I decided not to attempt any during pictures. I did cut myself once.
I tend to put this task off until I get to the point where I am just about a beard guy.
I did not know how hard it was to only use short words until I tried to fit my text along the side of this image.

Self Portrait Sunday: Boats
I had a brief conversation with a guy from Detroit who was visiting Calypso’s Cave where this pic was taken. We were speculating about who might own the super yacht. He liked to think that it might be Tiger Woods. I think most Americans richy-rich types stay in the Caribbean with their seven figure toys. To find other self portraits, go to the source at DigiCass.
